With more than 6.000 visitors for the fifth edition of the occasion “Collection Première Dusseldorf” the fashion-show concept PLATFORM FASHION ended successfully. 9 fashion shows, over 34 participated labels and numerous other events delighted the great amount of guests on the site Böhler.
The kick-off to PLATFORM FASHION started the AMD Academy of Fashion and Design on 29 January 2016 with their Fashion Show “EXIT.16 Telling Titles”. Followed by the fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger, which presented a selection of the latest collections in front of customers and numerous celebrities like Christoph Metzelder, Rebecca Mir,
Shermine Sharivar and Mariella Ahrens.
On Saturday 30 January 2016 with Fashion Yard meets PLATFORM FASHION, selected young fashion labels convinced the visitors with their creative designs. After this the fashion network Fashion Net Dusseldorf invited to the fashion show “Fashion Net presents Dusseldorf designer”. In the presence of guests such as Thomas Geisel / Mayor of City Dusseldorf / and his wife Dr. Vera Geisel, designers like Gesine Jost, Stella Achenbach, Tina Miyake, Ursbob and Laurence Leleux showed their new collections on the catwalk. Following this, the prestigious designer Annette Görtz presented at a highly cheered fashion show the trends for the upcoming season. The evening closed with an exclusive event of the parisian fashion label Paul & Joe in collaboration with MAB – Modeagentur Benabou.
On Sunday, January 31 2016, 11 Exhibitors of the Fair GALLERY, which is based on the site Böhler for the first time since this season, showed their latest collections on the catwalk. In the following fashion show the Labels Beate Heymann and Meerstein convinced its guests. The labels Bonvirage, Maison common, Passionata Strehlow as well as the jewelry label Gab & Ty by Jana Ina Zarrella followed with PLATFORM FASHION SELECTED including the latest trends. The grand closure of the three-day event was the fashion show of the designer Thomas Rath.
The FASHION LOUNGE represented an area on the site Böhler for the first time this season, which was available to the trade visitors and all fashion interested visitors.
On about 600sqm the area created a contact point for extensive discussions and constructive exchange. For the first time the format FASHION LECTURES was launched, including several lectures, discussions and short descriptions of technical innovations and current trends in the fashion world and the future.
More than 600 visitors attended the lecture- 3- day event.
